As the study of jazz saxophone playing is different then the study of classical saxophone, our Palm Beach County sax teachers will let you know which discipline they teach. Some music students would prefer not only to study sax technique , but also start to understand the music theory behind jazz charts and being able to improvise over chord changes on the saxophone. We remind our Palm Beach County music students that success on the saxophone will not come overnight. Like any other musical instrument, regular practice and listening to recordings of other professional sax players will help the sax student develop an ear for how there are many approaches to tone, attack and color in the sound that can be produced on the saxophone. Our saxophone teachers will help students develop their own style and sound on the sax. Our Palm Beach County sax teachers look forward to helping our saxophone students be the best they can be on the sax.

Saxophone Lessons in Palm Beach County
The Saxophone also known as the sax was invented in by Adolphe Sax in 1840. The saxophone is a member of the woodwind family. Many think the sax is in the brass instrument family because the body of the saxophone is made out of brass. However, the sax has a wooden reed that vibrates on a saxophone mouthpiece. The mouthpiece does not have a cork like a clarinet mouthpiece. The saxophone mouthpiece is placed on the neck of the sax and is either pushed in or out on the neck of the sax to tune the instrument. Today the most common saxophones are either in the key of Bb, soprano sax and tenor sax or Eb, alto sax and baritone sax. Our Palm Beach County sax teachers can go into more detail about the differences between the members of the saxophone family.
